Complex Litigation Cases – Commercial Litigation & Dispute Resolution

Reasons to choose Wilson Browne

Experience You Can Trust.

Worried about what happens if you lose your case?

With the oldest delegated authority scheme in the country from leading ‘After the Event’ Temple Legal Protection Limited, the Commercial Litigation Team at Wilson Browne Solicitors brings a level of assurance unmatched in the industry. We can issue insurance immediately to qualifying clients—with no upfront premium, and you only pay if you win! Our tailor-made service ensures peace of mind throughout your legal journey.

Client-Centric Service.

Your case is unique, and so is our approach. The Complex Cases Team is led by Nationally Recognised ‘Leading Individual’ (Legal 500 – the “who’s who” of law) Partner Kevin Rogers, who can advise on a range of funding options, including:

• Fixed fee
• Capped fees
• Blended Hourly Rates
• Discounted Conditional Fee – think ‘half hourly rate, half no win no fee’ – great for cash flow if you have confidence in your case as you pay less than a traditional no win no fee at the end!
• No win, no fee—call these ‘CFAs’, and this stands for Conditional Fee Agreement. Having used them since the 1990s, Kevin knows they work!
• Before-the-event insurance: You may already have cover, and we can work with all the major insurers. Terms apply.

We tailor my strategies to suit your specific needs, ensuring you’re informed and protected every step of the way.

Whole Team Approach to Complex Cases.

Between the partners in the team (Kevin, Hayley, and David), if we have not seen it, it likely is not a thing!

Tracing his legal career back to the 1990s, Kevin’s experience in a large Manchester insurance litigation practice and a niche London commercial litigation practice, as well as a background in costs negotiation, has taken him to the point that he is now sought out for the most unusual, challenging, and complex cases. Kevin has lost count of the number of clients that have been told by other firms ‘we cannot help’ that he has been successful for over the years.

With a healthy respect for his opponents, Kevin has no fear of any ‘named’ opposition, and over the years, he has acted for an increasing number of ex-Premier League footballers, MPs, and high-profile businesses. As Marketing Partner in WB and jointly responsible for oversight of the considerable growth of our brand and market share, Kevin has a unique insight into the brand and reputational aspects of litigation, ensuring that the advice you receive is genuinely commercial at all times.

Hayley is the Head of the Commercial Litigation team. She has worked in-house, in local government, and in private practice for over 23 years. With particular expertise in commercial disputes arising around regulatory issues, commercial property, breach of contract, and shareholder disputes, Hayley has seen it all, from several sides of the fence!

David had a successful career in financial services before changing his path and pursuing a career in the law. This brings a uniquely insightful approach, always with the commercial realities of any given situation front and centre. David has a particular passion for insolvency and construction matters, as well as supervising our national and international debt recovery work, and like all of our lawyers, is a firm believer in exploring an early settlement, but from a position of relative strength.

The three partners in the team, including the wider team, can draw from a collective experience of over 92 years. This collaborative approach ensures that if it has happened… we have heard of it and will figure out what to do for you in even the most complex litigation matter.

Choice of Barrister.

An excellent legal team is one where a barrister and solicitor work together for you. Add that to the After Event Insurance, and you have an imposing team to get the desired result.

With strong links to regional and London-based barristers (and no ties to any particular set), you can be assured that Barristers’ Chambers are keen to work with us, reassuring you that we will pick the best people for you, your case, your budget, and your future.

No ‘referral fees’.

We do not receive fees from any set of barristers chambers for your work, and we do not take a penny from Temple – we pick what is best for you, not us!

Types of cases.

• Multi-party actions
• Shareholder disputes
• Professional negligence claims (solicitors, accountants, construction agents, architects and more)
• Contract disputes – especially when there are multiple or no documents!
• International elements
• Fintech
• Reputation
• Defamation – especially on social media
• High-profile ‘celebrity’ cases handled discreetly
• High profile press coverage claims – we are used to dealing with local and national media
• The undefinable – when cases do not fit a category… that is where we shine with our multi-team approach.
