Private Client Solicitor (Wills, Trusts, LPA’s)- Corby

Our Private Client team is seeking to appoint an experienced Solicitor or Legal Executive, technically competent and capable of managing their own caseload independently without the need of supervision,  based at our Corby office and servicing our clients throughout the Northamptonshire counties.

You will ideally have 3+ years’ PQE, and have competent knowledge advising in the following areas:

  • Estates & Administration
  • Estate & inheritance planning
  • Wills
  • LPAs
  • Trusts

Be confident and willing to work with our Commercial teams based in Corby and build relationships with our commercial clients to help build a caseload in Corby.  This position requires a thirst for Business Development and ability to engage with new contacts and opportunities to expand our client base in Corby.

 

Team Leader/ Conveyancer - Leicester

We are looking for an enthusiastic Senior Conveyancer to join, manage and develop our expanding Residential Conveyancing team in Leicester.

This is an exciting opportunity, and the successful applicant will have proven experience of working within a busy residential property team and dealing with a varied caseload including:

  • Sale and purchase (including leasehold and new-build)
  • Re-mortgage
  • Equity release
  • Transfer of equity

You must be confident in developing and managing relationships with both clients and referrers, be IT literate and committed with a previous working knowledge of using case management systems. We are willing to invest in you to continue your career, should that be CLC or SQE if you don’t have formal qualifications; let’s talk!

Excellent business development skills are essential, as well as strong organisation and compliance skills. Experience in managing a team is essential, together with an ability to work with minimal supervision.

Conveyancer (Residential Conveyancing), Northampton

Our Private Client team is seeking to appoint an experienced Solicitor or Legal Executive, technically competent and capable of managing their own caseload independently without the need of supervision,  based at our Northampton office and servicing our clients throughout the Northamptonshire counties.

You will ideally have 8+ years’ PQE, and have competent knowledge advising in the following areas:

  • Administration of Complex estates
  • Estate & inheritance planning
  • Trust Creation, Administration and Tax
  • Complex Wills
  • LPAs

You will be confident and have some management experience to help train and supervise the existing team at Northampton.  This position requires a thirst for Business Development and leadership and the ability to engage with new contacts and the wider team for growth and development.

Court of Protection Solicitor- Northampton

We have a fantastic opportunity for a talented and experienced Court of Protection Solicitor to join our Legal 500 Court of Protection team based in our Northampton office. You will be managing your own caseload and working closely with the team for continued growth in this area.

We are considering individuals with a range of experience but are ideally looking for someone who has 5 years + PQE. You will need to be competent at working independently and handling your own caseload, but will also benefit from the guidance and support of the Court of Protection Team and wider Private Client team covering clients regionally (but mostly in the Northamptonshire and Leicestershire area). We are committed to the development of our staff with defined career plans in place and a fantastic team culture.

You will be responsible for managing your own case load, issue and act in proceedings, use your initiative to move matters forward, visit clients and protected parties, take client instructions, instruct third parties, delegate to and supervise lower grade fee earners.  Experience in this field is essential.

This is a role where your voice will be heard, with genuine scope for a challenging, but supported career. On top of that, you’ll have first-class support from our award-winning Marketing Team, to assist with business development opportunities.

Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for:

  • Preparing Court of Protection applications/forms;
  • Carrying out tasks on the day-to-day financial affairs of COP clients;
  • Visiting COP clients in their home or care setting;
  • Corresponding and dealing with family members and care staff;
  • Dealing with the client’s financial institutions;
  • Preparing COP annual accounts;
  • Taking and dealing with enquiries from clients & third parties
  • Making best interest decisions
  • Advising clients

You will possess good personal organisation, common sense and strong interpersonal skills, empathy and patience, with the ability to provide the highest standards of client care. You will be caring, patient and understanding and possess an enthusiasm for work within the Court of Protection area of the law, working with vulnerable and elderly people and their families mainly across the Northamptonshire and Leicestershire areas.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Paralegal to join our busy Residential Conveyancing team, based at our Higham Ferrers office.

Although previous experience in Residential Conveyancing/ using Case Management Systems would be desirable, other suitable candidates will be considered as full training will be given. You will also be IT literate and committed.
