Private Client Solicitor (Wills, Trusts, LPA’s)- Corby

Our Private Client team is seeking to appoint an experienced Solicitor or Legal Executive, technically competent and capable of managing their own caseload independently without the need of supervision,  based at our Corby office and servicing our clients throughout the Northamptonshire counties.

You will ideally have 3+ years’ PQE, and have competent knowledge advising in the following areas:

  • Estates & Administration
  • Estate & inheritance planning
  • Wills
  • LPAs
  • Trusts

Be confident and willing to work with our Commercial teams based in Corby and build relationships with our commercial clients to help build a caseload in Corby.  This position requires a thirst for Business Development and ability to engage with new contacts and opportunities to expand our client base in Corby.

 

Private Client Solicitor (Wills, Trusts, LPA’s)- Higham Ferrers

We have a fantastic opportunity for a talented and experienced Private Client Solicitor to join our Legal 500 Private Client team in our Higham Ferrers office. Working closely with our diverse team there is exciting opportunity for growth in this role.

We are considering individuals with a range of experience but are ideally looking for someone who is qualified up to 3 years PQE and on a full-time basis. You will need to be competent at working independently and handling your own caseload, but will also benefit from the guidance and support of the wider Private Client teams covering Northamptonshire and Leicestershire. We are committed to the development of our staff with defined career plans in place and a fantastic team culture.

This is a role where your voice will be heard, with genuine scope for a challenging, but supported career. On top of that, you’ll have first-class support from our award-winning Marketing Team, to assist with business development opportunities.

Childcare Paralegal- Leicester or Northampton

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Paralegal to join our busy Childcare team, based at either our Leicester or Northampton office. Our team of dedicated Childcare Solicitors comprises of 4 Solicitors (3 of which are proud to be on the esteemed Law Society Children’s Panel), a Trainee Solicitor and 2 Paralegals. You will be supporting these team members (and ultimately supporting our clients) with a wide range of Childcare legal proceedings including care proceedings, private law legal aid matters, SGO applications and adoption matters. You will have a real passion for Childcare and your work will have a big impact.

Responsibilities…

This is a full and busy role and will include the following:

  • Checking and drafting paperwork including briefs
  • Preparing court bundles
  • Providing secretarial support
  • Billing and Legal Aid Agency liaison.
  • General administration
  • Supporting other members of the team
  • Attending PLO meetings within the local area.

Requirements

You will have the ability to confidently manage your own workload, prioritise effectively under pressure to tight deadlines, have excellent communication skills and be a team player. Some  experience within Childcare/ Family Law is preferred and the ability to work within a busy team is essential. Excellent customer care skills are essential, as well as strong organisational skills.

Although previous experience with electronic time recording and case management systems  and legal aid billing would be desirable, other suitable candidates will be considered as full training will be given.

Employment Solicitor- Northampton

We have a fantastic opportunity for a talented and experienced Employment Law Solicitor to join our team based at our Northampton office.

We are considering individuals with a range of experience, so can consider anyone from NQ up to Senior Associate level. You will need to be competent at working independently, handling your own caseload from initial instruction through to completion and if you are on the more senior end of experience, will be providing guidance and mentoring to our more junior team members. This is a role where your voice will be heard, with genuine scope for a challenging but supported career.

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will undertake a diverse caseload incorporating contentious and non-contentious work for employer clients. Wilson Browne acts for a diverse client base including SMEs, OMBs and listed companies. In addition, we also act for employees. No two days are the same… you could be working on anything from Settlement Agreements to providing corporate support for M&A work as well as the full range of employment matters including, but not limited to:

  • Assisting with Modern Slavery Act compliance,
  • Playing an integral advisory role with a variety of projects (including re-structuring, changing terms and conditions of employment and large-scale redundancy exercises),
  • Providing strategic advice in connection with Boardroom/SMT disputes,
  • Providing ad hoc advice on operational HR matters,
  • Assisting with data protection compliance, and
  • Representing clients in employment tribunals.

This is a role that will grow with you, and you’ll also have the opportunity to work on projects in conjunction with our Corporate & Commercial, Commercial Litigation, and Commercial Property teams. (Most of our teams being recognised by Legal 500). On top of that, you’ll have first-class support from our award-winning Marketing Team, to assist with business development opportunities
