Senior Associate Corporate Commercial Solicitor - Northampton
We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Solicitor to join our Corporate Commercial Team in Northampton. We are looking for someone with entrepreneurial instincts who can lead transactions, develop client relations and actively contribute to the strategic growth of the division.
You will be working with an existing team of solicitors, including two Partners, supported by trainees and Paralegals and collaborating closely with colleagues across a range of disciplines. We deliver expert advice and support to clients in a range of corporate matters including transactional work, corporate restructuring, employee share schemes as well as commercial contracts and associated advice.
The ideal candidate will also drive business development by actively networking, representing the firm at industry events and contribute to our marketing initiatives working with our award-winning marketing team to generate new leads and drive growth.
In this role, you will also benefit from the experience and support of two Partners in the Corporate and Commercial Team as well as the wider leadership and management team at Wilson Browne. We are looking to appoint someone that looks to the future and who can grow and develop with the firm; who will seize the career opportunity this role offers.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a broad range of corporate and commercial transactions including mergers and acquisitions, demergers, commercial agreements and joint ventures.
- Take primary responsibility for client matters ensuring efficient and excellent delivery and high-quality outcomes.
- Provide strategic, commercially focused advice, with client objectives in mind. Acting as a trusted advisor and building and maintaining long-term relationships.
- Support the junior team members, provide guidance and contribute to the team’s training and learning objectives.
- Engage in business development activities including representing the firm, building relationships with professional advisors and referrers and engaging with marketing activities including writing for online and print media.
Ideally you will have 5 years + PQE, have a good range of experience and be excited to join a growing Corporate Commercial Team that has a great variety of work and strong client relationships. Commercial Litigation Paralegal -Kettering
We are seeking a Commercial Litigation Paralegal to join our growing Tier 2 Legal 500 Commercial Litigation Team in Kettering.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to a diverse range of complex and high-value dispute matters while working alongside experienced Solicitors and Partners within our highly regarded law firm.
As a Commercial Litigation Paralegal, you will provide high-quality legal and administrative support across a broad range of contentious matters. This includes: breach of contract, housing (predominantly possession), debt recovery, construction and property/land disputes.
Responsibilities:
This is a full and busy role and will include the following:
• Managing an allocated caseload of commercial litigation matters under supervision.
• Drafting legal documentation, including pleadings, witness statements, applications, court forms and correspondence.
• Assisting with disclosure exercises, mediation bundles and trial preparation.
• Liaising with clients, counsel, courts, mediators, insolvency practitioners, experts and other third parties.
• Attending client meetings, mediations, conferences and court hearings where required.
• Supporting fee-earners with complex litigation matters.
• Assisting with debt recovery and enforcement actions.
• Maintaining accurate file records and updating case management systems.
• Playing a key role in ensuring cases progress efficiently from inception through to resolution.
Requirements
We’re looking for someone with experience of the Civil Procedure Rules and ideally with experience of the contentious matters we cover. The right candidate will be highly organised, commercially aware and passionate about dispute resolution. … but more importantly; will have an eagerness to learn and to develop new areas of specialism.
