Commercial Property Junior Partner - Kettering

Tell me more about the role….

We have a fantastic opportunity for a talented and experienced Commercial Property Solicitor to join our busy Legal 500 recognised team as a Junior Partner, based at our Kettering office.

You will have several years’ experience of handling your own caseload, supported by the four Partners and other members of the team.

You would be supervising and mentoring our more junior team members, to help develop their skills and expertise.

You will be confident in participating in business development activities and be ambitious to grow not only your own role but the team and firm as a whole.

This is a role where your voice will be heard, with genuine scope for a challenging but supported career.

Scope of work

You’ll have the opportunity to work on a wide range of property matters from leases to development sites and agricultural land and everything in between.

Requirements

The Role

The Commercial Property team are seeking qualified Solicitors or experienced Legal Executives to join their busy Legal 500 recognised team.

Ideally 2+ PQE (or with other suitable experience) and to be totally transparent we are recruiting for roles created by growth and to fill a gap left by a colleague relocating out to the area.

You’ll have the opportunity to work on a range of property matters, including leases, freehold property, and development deals, acting for SIPPS/SASS’s, corporates, and individuals, dealing with commercial lenders, through to dealing with Option Agreements, Promotion Agreements, and Overage to large developers. Employment Solicitor/Associate/Senior Associate - Northampton

Tell me more about the role….

We have a fantastic opportunity for a talented and experienced Employment Solicitor to join our team based at our Northampton office.

We are considering individuals with a range of experience but are ideally looking for someone who is 3 years PQE, up to Senior Associate level.

You will need to be competent at working independently, handling your own caseload from initial instruction through to completion, and providing guidance and mentoring to our more junior team members.

This is a role where your voice will be heard, with genuine scope for a challenging but supported career.

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will undertake a diverse caseload incorporating contentious and non-contentious work for employer clients.

Wilson Browne acts for a diverse client base including SMEs, OMBs, and listed companies. In addition, we also act for employees.

No two days are the same… you could be working on anything from Settlement Agreements to providing corporate support for M&A work as well as the full range of employment matters including, but not limited to:

  • Assisting with Modern Slavery Act compliance,
  • Playing an integral advisory role with a variety of projects (including re-structuring, changing terms and conditions of employment, and large-scale redundancy exercises),
  • Providing strategic advice in connection with Boardroom/SMT disputes,
  • Providing ad hoc advice on operational HR matters,
  • Assisting with data protection compliance, and
  • Representing clients in employment tribunals.

This is a role that will grow with you, and you’ll also have the opportunity to work on projects in conjunction with our Corporate & Commercial, Commercial Litigation, and Commercial Property teams. (Most of our teams being recognised by Legal 500).

On top of that, you’ll have first-class support from our award-winning Marketing Team, to assist with business development opportunities.

Commercial Litigation Solicitor - Leicester

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Contested Probate solicitor to join our Commercial Litigation Team in Leicester.

We have a highly regarded Legal 500 private client department. They often deal with HNW individuals who have national and international assets and interests. You will sit as part of the litigation team dealing solely with a contentious probate caseload. As well as local clients, the firm enjoys a market leading online presence and you will represent clients from all over England & Wales

We are considering individuals with a range of experience but are ideally looking for someone who is newly qualified and has already gained contested probate experience. You will need to be competent at working independently and handling your own caseload from initial instruction through to completion but will be supported by a strong and experienced team. This is a role where your voice will be heard, with genuine scope for a challenging but supported career.

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will undertake a diverse caseload of Contentious Probate and Trusts matters to include; Contesting the Validity of Wills, Inheritance Act Disputes, Trustee Disputes and Estate Disputes. A strong team ethic, attention to detail, willingness to bring others on, a desire to make a difference and a passion for working with a smile are essential! The role will also involve/ require:

  • Dealing with a range of commercial and civil disputes, insolvency matters, property litigation and commercial debt recovery.
  • Acting on behalf of businesses and individuals on a wide and varied range of civil and general commercial disputes
  • Receiving and responding to requests for legal advice from current and potential clients and other colleagues, providing high quality, practical advice, taking into account both technical and commercial considerations.
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage a caseload of complex matters and meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
