Reasons to choose Wilson Browne
Legal Secretary - Northampton
A full-time legal secretary is required to support the Private Client team at Northampton. The work will mainly involve secretarial support for a busy and dynamic fee-earner who deals with making Wills, lasting powers of attorney, administering estate and supporting the wider private client in Northampton. The role will include; dealing with enquiries from clients; filing; handling and preparing Wills and Probate documents.
Although previous experience in these areas of work would be desirable, other suitable candidates will be considered as full training will be given.
However, an abundance of common sense and empathy for elderly, vulnerable, and bereaved clients is essential!

Inbound Sales Team Manager (internally known as New Enquiries Team Manager) - Northampton
‘Make it yours’ – a real opportunity to create and shape something special: move us into a new era in terms of how we manage our enquiries.
Externally, this role would fit that of an Inbound Sales Team Manager: internally, it is referred to as New Enquiries Manager.
This is not a role where you are expected to simply ‘tweak’ things – it needs someone to lead the way and implement change.
The Team deals with a high volume of inbound calls and emails and needs a significant next step, due to the continued growth and expansion of the business. You’ll need a good understanding of business development skills, leadership and management skills, and the ability to apply your knowledge of running a small inbound sales team.
Additionally, you’ll bring an understanding of best practice in an inbound sales environment and be keen to dive in and be directly responsible for streamlining our processes; making our systems more effective; recommending appropriate software if needed; and working with the BD & Marketing Director to drive the future direction and strategy of the team.
You will be expected to be hands-on too as it’s not a purely supervisory/managerial role.
Legal services or professional services experience is preferred but not essential: what is essential is your understanding of inbound sales and of managing a team.
IT Support and Training Assistant - Northampton
Do you know your bits from your bytes? Your DDoS from your DHCP, and your HTTP from your HTML?
If you can answer yes to all of the above, then you could be what we’re looking for.
We have an opportunity to join our ICT team, ensuring our 6 offices and 180 employees are all online and able to work.
Based at our Northampton office, you’ll provide Helpdesk support to users covering MS Office applications, as well as support for printing, internet, e-mail and the case management system: you’ll also help with basic training on the MS Office suite and our case management software – sometimes remotely, other times on-site.
In a world of bots and endless spam, you will also help by monitoring incoming emails (keeping our network safe) and making on-site visits to branch offices to deal with hardware faults.
Are you sitting comfortably? Good – you will also need to ensure that all users are too: carrying out basic ergonomic assessments for obvious Health & Safety compliance reasons…but if that’s new to you, no worries, we provide full (external) training.
You’ll need proven IT skills and an interest in IT support, and you’ll get help with your own training and development.
A clean driving licence and own transport are essential as you’ll be “out and about” keeping us online.
Think of a legal practice and the first thing that comes to mind is ‘lawyers’ or ‘Solicitors’…but there’s a multitude of other opportunities within any large legal practice.
