A cyber-attack has affected the Legal Aid Agency’s (LAA) digital services, potentially compromising personal and financial data of those who applied for legal aid since 2010.
This may include: Contact details, addresses, and dates of birth; National ID numbers and criminal history; Employment and financial data (e.g. payments, debts, contributions).
What to do: Be alert to suspicious calls, messages, or activity; Update passwords for affected accounts; Always verify identity before sharing information.
The LAA has currently taken its online services offline and is working to maintain access to legal support.
This breach does not affect Wilson Browne Solicitors — it is limited to the LAA system.
