The Office of the Public Guardian has announced that the Autumn 2015 issue of its newsletter for deputies sets out the timings for introducing changes to the way Court of Protection deputies are supervised and supported.
These changes include:
- Simplified reporting forms are being introduced which all Court of Protection deputies will be required to submit annually which will be introduced in stages over the coming months
- All public authority and professional deputies must submit information on the estimated client fees over a 12 month period in their annual report
- The Office of the Public Guardian has changed the way it refers to the supervision of deputies. Rather than levels which are given currently this will now be in terms of general or minimal supervision.
