Supporting Outdoor Learning At Collingtree Primary School
Reasons to choose Wilson Browne
At Wilson Browne Solicitors, we are proud to support initiatives that make a positive difference within our local communities. Recently, we were delighted to donate a new fire pit and accompanying equipment to Collingtree Primary School, part of the Peterborough Diocese Education Trust (PDET), to support and enhance the school’s Forest School provision.
Forest School offers children the opportunity to learn beyond the traditional classroom environment, encouraging confidence, teamwork and resilience while fostering a meaningful connection with nature. We are pleased that our contribution will help create engaging outdoor learning experiences for pupils and support the school’s commitment to wellbeing and hands-on education.
The donation was delivered during a special visit from Wilson Bear, which was warmly received by the children. Pupils are now eagerly looking forward to enjoying new Forest School activities, including gathering around the fire pit to toast marshmallows and take part in memorable outdoor lessons.
Rebecca Osborne, Headteacher at Collingtree Primary School, commented:
We are incredibly grateful to Wilson Browne Solicitors for their kindness and generosity. Our Forest School sessions play an important role in our curriculum, and this new fire pit will create exciting, memorable learning experiences for our children. A special thank you also goes to our Forest School Leader, Miss Graham, for organising this wonderful support for our school.Jill Graham, Operations Director at Wilson Browne Solicitors, added:
As members of the community, we believe in giving back to the places and people that support us. We are delighted to contribute to a project that encourages outdoor learning and wellbeing, and to invest in an initiative that will benefit children for many years to come.
Ruth Walker-Green, CEO of PDET, also welcomed the donation, describing it as a valuable example of community partnership in action.
We are pleased to play a part in supporting Collingtree Primary School and look forward to seeing the Forest School provision continue to thrive, helping to create lasting memories and meaningful learning experiences for pupils.
