Carbon monoxide – is your property safe?

Private landlords are now subject to increased requirements to ensure that carbon monoxide detectors are installed in their properties where there is solid fuel on the premises.

Breach of these requirements – which came into force under legislation that is effective from 1 October 2015 – can lead to heavy fines for landlords.
