Reasons to choose Wilson Browne
Partner, Tom Warrender, of our Legal 500 recognised commercial property team here at Wilson Browne Solicitors, was delighted to act for Mama Jacqu’s Limited in their recent acquisition of a lease at the exciting new development at BoxPark, Wembley. The work involved dealing with an Agreement for Lease, the Lease, a Rent Deposit Deed, and conducting all associated due diligence, ensuring always that matters were dealt with in a timely manner.
The Agreement for Lease was exchanged on time and the Lease has now completed. Mama Jacq’s is due to start trading at BoxPark, Wembley on 8th December 2018 at the grand opening.
Mama Jacq’s is deeply rooted in family. The scrumptious flavours created by Jacqueline are inspired by her childhood memories of the home cooking of her mother in her native home of St. Vincent.
Jacqueline Codougan has carried on her mother’s kitchen legacy and passed her love of cooking on to her children. Her two eldest Chantal and Dominic and husband Lassil have gladly taken up the mantle and have partnered with her to become champions of authentic Caribbean cooking. Together they’ve led a revival of Caribbean recipes and ingredients in the U.K. casual dining market.
Founded in 2013 as a sauce company, Mama Jacq’s has grown and expanded organically to also sell high-quality Caribbean food at food markets, to now being able to entice foodies who visit BoxPark Wembley.
They offer a modern take on traditional Caribbean recipes. The journey begins with fresh ingredients, continues with visual stimulation of bright colours and the comforting smells of Mama Jacq’s kitchen and ends with bold and unique flavours.
Their award-winning curried goat offers a succulent meal that stimulates the palates of food connoisseurs throughout the U.K. Flavoured using a perfect balance of our green marinade, curry powder, ginger, thyme and then slowed cooked until tender; that captures the appetites of the most discerning food critiques and keeps them returning to Mama Jacq’s kitchen.
Chantal Codougan commented that, “We instructed Tom because of both his and Wilson Browne’s excellent reputation. We were delighted by the service received from Tom and would not hesitate to recommend him to others. Whilst the company has been operating for five years now, this is a massive next step for us and Tom was always there being supportive, offering timely professional and practical advice and ensuring we were informed every step of the way.”
Tom commented, “This was an exciting project to be involved with and is one of a couple of matters I am dealing with on this exciting new development. I look forward to hearing of what I am sure will be the further success of Mama Jacq’s as the adventure continues.”
