The Forestry Commission has published an operational update on their working practices in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Key information from the update includes notification of further office closures and cancellation of site visits until further government guidance. Felling licenses and grant claims will continue to be processed online. Plant forestry inspection is exempt from the site inspection suspension and will continue in order to regulate the outbreak of high priority tree pests and diseases. Port inspections and export work will continue to enable imports and exports to operate.
