Jim joined the firm in 1982 from Lloyds Bank Executor and Trustee department as a probate clerk and qualified as a Legal Executive. He then qualified as a solicitor in 1996 and was appointed as a Partner that same year.
He is a former Head of the Private Client Department and was a member of the Board of Management for 11 years, first as the firm’s Human Resources Partner and later as the firm’s Operations Partner.
Jim is now Deputy Senior Partner at Wilson Browne.
Jim is based in our Higham Ferrers and Rushden offices and advises clients in relation to Wills, Probates, Powers of Attorney and the Administration of Estates. He acts for a number of charities and has a wealth of experience in that area of the law. He is also a member of the Law Society’s Probate Section, the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and was appointed to the Court of Protection’s External Panel of Deputies.
Jim also works closely with our Litigation Department in setting up Trusts to allow those who recover compensation for accidents or injuries to retain their damages.
