Wilson Browne operates
a policy of trainee recruitment which
aims to take on three new trainees
each year (usually for contracts commencing
in September).
Wilson Browne offers a comprehensive
and wide-ranging training contract
with seats available in each of our
five departments. Trainees will therefore
experience a diverse range of seats
across our private client, family,
litigation, residential conveyancing
and commercial departments.
Trainees may find themselves working
at any of our six offices across
Northamptonshire and in Leicester
and a willingness and ability to travel
is essential.
Training principals ensure that trainees
have, wherever possible, their own
caseload to manage under supervision
together with plenty of exposure to
client contact, court work and a variety
of legal skills. Trainees will be
set targets in the same way as our
other fee earners and regular reviews
are arranged to ensure that trainees
get the best out of the their time
with us. Wilson Browne provides a
practical learning environment in
which to develop their legal skills.
Successful applicants will have a
good basic education, with GCSEs
and A Levels (or equivalent) at Grade
C or above and should have an Upper
Second Class Honours Degree (or equivalent).
An ample helping of common sense and
ambition, a dynamic approach and a
good sense of humour are also key
attributes for successful candidates.
We are no longer accepting applications for training contracts beginning in September 2008 and 2009. Applications for 2010 should be submitted from July 2008 onwards.
Applications should be made by CV
with covering letter to:-
